Emergency+ app - An excellent free app developed by Australia's emergency services. This is a must on all phones as it easily plots your exact location for emergency services. It uses GPS functionality built into smart phones to help a Triple Zero (000) caller provide critical location details to mobilise emergency services.
PulsePoint AED app – It helps map and locate defibrillators in your area (hopefully in advance). Because you never know who could have a cardiac arrest next — maybe even you. This app relies on the community populating it. So if you see a defibrillator, while out and about, not on the app, please add it to the app.
Lifesaver is an amazingly useful interactive virtual reality series of short movie scenarios you play like a game. It realistically throws you into emergency situations in which you have to make the right CPR life-saving decisions to save a life. Developed in the UK, it is available on computer, tablet and phone app.
The ARC’s mantra is “Any Attempt at Resuscitation is Better Than No Attempt”. They are an excellent resource and produce guidelines to help foster uniformity and simplicity in resuscitation techniques.
Join Don & Hutch as they share their personal life-changing 000 story, take you through the DRSABCD, demonstrate how to use a defibrillator - and much more, but all with their typical fun light-hearted approach. More info

Knowing CPR theory is one thing, but having practical hands-on experience with training on a manikin is another. It’s all good and fine to have confident CPR skills but it’s only an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) that will restart a heart. How much do defibrillators cost to buy? What type of defibrillator should I buy?
